Psalm

In the quiet of the ocean, alone, silent in the winter cool,

God I feel the warmth of your love.

Walking with a heavy pack on ways less travelled,

I feel unburdened and free.

For time up close in nature…. colours, patterns, shapes and cycles,

For mountains, creatures, wind and rain, warmth and cool.

For life giving water, trees, plants, earth and everlasting stars.

For simple food, strength in mind and body for endurance and challenges,

rest and refreshment and the company of friends.

To be wrapped in the wonder, majesty and perfection of your creation,

I praise you God.
