An Early Morning Prayer

1 O Lord hear my prayer as the sun rises on a new and glorious day. 2 I lift my eyes to you in heaven and lay my requests before you knowing you already see what is on my heart. 3 I come into your presence with joy protected by your mercy and love and worship you in deepest awe. 4 O Lord let the light of your face shine down upon me. 5 Push back the demands pressing in on me today and take away the frustration of the past 2 years with so many changes to embrace. 6 Create a safe space around me in which I can rest in you. Use this time and space to bless me and bring honour to your Holy Name. 8 Help me see this as a wise investment of my time, a time and space permeated with Your presence, Your Love and Your Peace.
