Minister's Message - 2nd July 2017

This Sunday in worship we looked at Psalm 13 and the heartfelt struggle within that psalm.

At the beginning of this piece of writing you hear the psalmist ask:

How long, O Lord? Will you forget me forever?

How long will you hide your face from me?

How long must I bear pain in my soul, and have sorrow in my heart all day long?

Within Psalm 13 there is a real struggle of being abandoned by God and even a struggle to find God in the midst of life.

As a church community one of our roles is to be there for each other. Lifting our brothers and sisters up in their hard times. As a church community, may we remember our brothers and sisters when they are in their lowest times. When they struggle to find God’s touch, it is one of our roles to be God’s touch for them. It is a challenge, but it is a part of our calling as God’s people.

Blessings,

Richard
