Minister's Message - Sunday 2nd April

I heard in the news this week that the Royal Commission into child sexual abuse is drawing to the end of its public hearings. This has been a difficult and painful time for the lives of many affected. However, this needed to be brought into the light.

In our scripture readings from John over the last few weeks we have heard how things need to be brought into the light, for we should not live in darkness.

In the light of the Royal Commission, our society needs to do better. In this light may healing happen. In this light may churches, community groups and governments continue to transform practices so the most vulnerable in society may receive the care that they should be given.

In Christ let us pray that in the light we will move forward to a better society.
